He is passionate about education and will happily give his patients as much information as possible about their condition to ensure they understand the 'what, how and why' of the issue.

When Dan isn't treating, he is kept busy by his four daughters and wife.  He enjoys being active and around nature and is a keen skier, mountain bike rider and average surfer!

Stephanie O'Flynn - BHSC (Acupuncture); BSC (Biochemistry)

TCM Practitioner, Acupuncture

After experiencing the benefits of acupuncture firsthand following a debilitating back injury, Steph embraced her passion for health and wellness, particularly the meeting of Eastern and Western medicines.

The ancient healing practice of Acupuncture uses a holistic philosophy that sets the foundation for how Steph approaches her patients: She views each person through an individual lens and makes a diagnosis using a Chinese medicine pattern and a personalised treatment aiming to restore balance. Treatment can involve use of acupuncture, cupping, Chinese remedial massage, infra-red heat therapy and electro-acupuncture, coupled with diet/lifestyle/movement advice.

Conditions commonly addressed using TCM acupuncture include pain and inflammation reduction, nervous system regulation, stress, trauma, addiction, sleep disorders, women’s health and digestive disorders – and that just scratches the surface! The body of evidence-based scientific research continues to validate this 2000-year-old practice and resonates with Steph’s “East meets West” approach to practice.

Steph has a special interest in pain management and is continuing her studies into the classical channel theories of balance acupuncture, particularly the Tan Balance Method.

Steph is passionate about holistic health, and believes in a balanced approach to life, focusing on eating well, moving daily, managing the stress of work and family life and getting enough sleep. When she's not with her patients or 3 children, she loves playing tennis, going to the gym, bush walks and swimming in the ocean. Enjoying an active and outdoor lifestyle is important to her and acupuncture has made it possible for her to do this pain-free!
